Breaking a 100 year Losing Streak
If you haven’t read the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, this story might be new, but he shares a story of Dave Brailsford, and the guts to take the British Cycling Team, with a 100 year losing streak, a team “so bad” that a bike manufacture didn’t even want to be associated with that team for fear of hurting their own sales, and transforming them into a team setting world records consistently by tweaking the mundane tiny tasks of hand washing, or your pillow.. mind blown.
Dave said “If you break down everything you could think of that goes into riding a bike, and then improve it 1 percent, you will get a significant increase when you put them all together.”
It may not seem noticeable to make that small of a change, but In the long run, IT ADDS UP!
(Full Disclosure, It works both ways.)
